GHANA WATER BEGINS PRODUCTION TO AFFECTED COMMUNITIES

The Ghana Water and Sewage Corporation have begun full capacity production of water supply from the Kpong and Weija dams to the affected areas that were struck by the recent water shortage.

The Public Relations Officer of Ghana Water, Stanley Martey states that the engineers were able to complete construction works at the site this morning thus they have began pumping water to areas in Accra and Tema environs that were affected.

He says latest by Sunday evening all the communities in Tema and the Eastern part of Accra will see their taps flowing.

Stanley Martey thanked the sector minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Alban Bagbin for playing a significant role in ensuring that the necessary attention was given to the project.


Stanley Martey also cautions drivers and pedestrians to follow the directional signs at the Akosombo-Kpong area.

He says that they will complete the road works in about a week time.
