CPP WILL NOT SECURE 3 PER CENT IN 2012 ELECTIONS

The Managing Editor for the Daily Dispatch, Ben Ephson says there is no way the Convention People’s Party (CPP) will get 3% in 2012 general elections.

He noted that performance of the CPP in general elections have not been encouraging and has therefore advised the party to concentrate on filing for parliamentary candidates and win more seats.

Ben Ephson explained that Ghanaians know a presidential vote for the CPP is a waste and will therefore vote for either the NDC or the NPP, so it is better, the CPP concentrate on winning more parliamentary seats.

Ben Epson said this when speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Monday with regards to Samia Nkrumah victory as the new Chairman for the CPP.

He assessed that the NPP and the NDC have 180 safe parliamentary seats, so the CPP can negotiate with the parties and file for candidates in a these constituencies that help the CPP secure close to 16 seats.

He added that the CPP can then join the presidential candidate of a party that because this will make the party attractive to the electorates.
